Mr. Allen Brown was born to the late Enoch Brown and the late Annie Barge Brown in Pelham, Mitchell County, Georgia, on July 18, 1957. Allen was the last of seven siblings. He was educated in the Dougherty County School System and attended Monroe High School. He retired from the Albany Herald after 25 years of employment.
In 1973, Allen confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized by the late Rev. Johnson at Second Mount Zion Baptist Church in Sasser, GA. During recent months, Allen was faithfully attending the New Zion Hill Baptist Church every Sunday morning.
Allen loved spending time with his family always the life of the crowd, especially at family reunions. He enjoyed attending church, listening to various genres of music, watching retro television shows, both watching and attending ball games and just simply hanging out with his home buddies.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Left to cherish a lifetime of his memories are his son: Garmyle Clinton; two sisters: Mary Richardson and Willie Mae Lee; one brother: Frank Brown, Atlanta (Stockbridge), GA; four grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
