Allen Davis Jr., 88, departed this life on August 12, 2021, at his home in Albany, GA.
He is preceded in death by his first wife of 26 years, the late Ruth Lee Davis. From this union, six children were born: Sandra Ford (Killeen, TX), Patricia Davis (Albany, GA), Jacquelyn Davis-Dozier (Pflugerville, TX), Michael Davis (deceased), Tanya Moore (Macon, GA), and Audrey Davis (Albany, GA).
After 10 years of being widowed, he remarried Mary Frances Chamberlain Nunn in 1991. He was blessed with 20 years of marriage until she departed this life in 2011. Although there were no children from this union, he was blessed with six adult stepchildren: James (Ernestine) Chamberlain (Anderson, IN), Robert Nunn Jr. (Anderson, IN), Peggy Nunn (Anderson, IN), Randy (Rhonda) Nunn (Pinellas, FL), Roberta (Billy) Sims (Albany, GA), Lester Nunn (deceased)
In addition to a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, he is survived by his siblings Gwydelon Miller (CA), Walter Belt (AZ), Jewel Belt Jr. (WA), Pearl Wickliffe (AZ), Charles Belt (AZ), Alvin Belt (deceased), and Eleanor Rose Dickson (WI).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Davis Sr. and Jewel Hunter Davis of Putney, GA
