Andrew Gordon Belk departed peacefully on June 10, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Terry Belk, son, Mathis Ray Belk, father, Richard Belk, mother, Janie Belk, and sister, Virginia Lumpkin. He was born September 24, 1935 in Talbot County, Georgia,
Andrew "Skint" Belk was a proud Albanian, who loved his community. He graduated from Monroe High School where he excelled in a variety of sports, including football, basketball and track. His stories of his "glory days" were legendary, and his family never tired of hearing them. Those who knew him would describe him as "Cool".
Andrew served in the United States Army, he worked diligently all his adult life at Bob's Candy, Wholesome Foods, and eventually retired from Albany State University. Andrew enjoyed watching cowboy shows, football, basketball and spending time with friends at Dixon's store.
He was loved and will be remembered and missed by all of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
