On April 27, 1957, a handsome baby boy was born to the late Willie Wright, Sr. and Ida Ruth Green Wright.
In 1977 Arthur graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School. He then enlisted in the United States Army. He returned to Albany, where he was determined to get a degree in diesel mechanics. Sometimes the way got hard, but he would walk to school in the cold and rain. He graduated from Albany Technical Vocational School with a degree in diesel mechanics.
He was employed at the Marine Corps Logistics Base for 35 years. He started as a mechanic for many years then became a team leader. Before completing his journey, Arthur became a supervisor in many areas.
On Friday morning, February 5th, he slipped away peacefully. We will forever remember his love and the many wonderful memories shared over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Wright, Sr. and Ida G. Wright; his son, Arrion Wright; and brothers, Melvin, Nelson, Henry, Willie Jr., Johnny Sr., and Mark.
He is survived by the love of his life for 37 years, Linda Williams Wright; a son, M. Jerel Wright of Lithonia, GA; brothers, Charlie, David, Greg and Kenneth, all of Albany, GA; sisters, Joyce Anighoro of Albany, GA, and Elizabeth Head (Joseph) of Iselin, NJ; mother-in-law, Gladys Williams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Estella Wright, Mary Wright, Robert and Joyce Crawford, Vascorey and Teresa Jackson, Gail Jackson, Freddie and Cheryl Nixon, Scottie and Jehan Williams; aunt, Beatrice Cuff; very close friends, Carlton Bell, Terry Brown and AJ Jefferson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
