Mr. Carleton William Bradley III was born November 10, 1947, to Mr. Carleton William Bradley II and Mrs. Flossie Christine Bradley at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was called home to continue his service to God and made a peaceful transition on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
He was baptized at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church in Ecorse, Michigan. He attended and graduated from Southwestern High School.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Dorothy McClodden on October 3, 1970. To this union, two children were born: Monica Yvette Bradley and Carleton William Bradley IV.
After serving two years in the army, he went to trade school and became an electrician. He worked as an electrician for four years, and from there, he worked for the City of Detroit Transportation for 32 years; first, as a bus driver; then as a mechanic; and last, as a supervisor. In 2008, Mr. Carleton W. Bradley retired from the City of Detroit. He then moved to Baconton, Georgia, in 2010 where he became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.
Carleton’s memories will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-one years, Dorothy Bradley; one daughter, Monica Bradley-Green; three grandsons, Marcus Lamar Griffin, Michael William Green, and Anthony Hunter Green; two sisters-in-law, Bernice McClodden and Patricia Harris; one brother-in-law, Freddy McClodden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
