In Loving Memory of Carolyn C. McKinney
Mrs. Carolyn Craig McKinney was born at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, on February 13, 1951, to John Craig Sr. and Eva James-Craig.
Carolyn departed this life and entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her home.
Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended Monroe Comprehensive High School and later attended Nursing School, in New Jersey. In 1968 she married the love of her life, David McKinney Sr., and they were one until her very last breath. David Sr. and Carolyn moved to New Jersey to start a new chapter of life, Labor Day of 1969. After living in New Jersey for 20 plus years, David Sr. and Carolyn relocated back to their hometown in Georgia. After returning to Albany, she began working at Coats & Clark where she retired from in 2013.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, John Craig Sr, and Eva James-Craig; and siblings, John Craig Jr, and Murrie Lee Craig.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her husband, David Sr. of 53 years; two sons, Gabril (Curtosha) McKinney Sr. and David (Nivea) McKinney Jr.; grandchildren: Daviohn McKinney Sr., Kaerielle (D’Jery Sr.) Larsen, KenDrah (Silas) Moseley, Jonya McKinney, Sasha Mathis, Jomya McKinney, Gabril McKinney Jr., Jabril McKinney, Shakiya (Richard) Freeman, Devon Rambo, Obadiah Rambo, Alysen Rambo; great-grandchildren: Daviohn McKinney Jr., Grayson Moseley, D’Jery Larsen Jr., Knola Larsen, Jeremiah Freeman; sister: Selenia C. Dent; Brother: Fred Craig; in-laws: Francis McKinney, Eddie McKinney, Larry (Betty) McKinney, James McKinney, Gregory (Lynette) McKinney, Freddie (Donnie) McKinney, Mary Ann Gulley (Thomas), Gloria McKinney, Charles (Karen) McKinney, Renee (Michael) Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
