Charles Langston Clark, beloved son of the late Joe Sam Clark Sr. and Pastor Veola J. Clark was born in Cairo, GA on October 23, 1950. During his early years of life, he attended the public schools of Cairo, GA where he was involved in numerous school activities and functions. He obtained a Master of Business Administration from Albany State College.
As a youth, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and began his Christian walk. He was a member and musician of the Aracadia Missionary Baptist Church until his demise. He developed a love for music and numbers at an early age. He played organ for various R&B music groups, Churches and Gospel groups. He was employed with Albany State College and Albany Technical College before becoming an entrepreneur. He was self employed as a tax accountant with Charles Clark and Associates for over 35 years. Charles was a very intellectual, creative, witty individual who had a passion for life.
As Charles made his transition from labor to reward he was preceded in death by his loving parents Joe Sam Clark, Sr. and Pastor Veola J. Clark, daughter, Sonjas Clark Wheeler and brother, Joe A. Clark.
Precious memories of life well lived will remain constant in the hearts of his children, Derrick (Priscilla) Lyons, Sr. of Atlanta, GA, Chandra Clark of Albany, GA and Rachel Clark of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Brayden and Brooklyn Wheeler, Derrick Lyons, Jr, Derrion Fountain, Jada Brown of Atlanta, GA; Shay (Freddie) Swan of Albany, GA; great-grandchildren, London Barnes and Gabrielle Barnes of Albany, GA; sibling, Margie Clark of Albany, GA; loving companion, Dr. JoAnne D. Taylor of Leesburg, GA; her children and grandchildren; as well as a host of special family members and friends.
