Charlie Reed was born on December 23, 1953, to the late Mr. Charlie Reed, Sr., and the late Mrs. Corine Reed. He was one of fifteen children. Seven of his siblings preceded him in death.
He attended the schools of Dougherty County. He enlisted in the army at age seventeen and served five and a half years.
He was married to Della Lockett, who also preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Ellis Lockett; six sisters, Essie Bellmon, Annie Waters, Sally Rachel, Willie Fulwood, Debra Riggins-Harold, and Cynetha Reed; two brothers, Roger Reed and Stanly Reed; a host of nieces, nephews, and a lot of cousins and friends.
