Curtis Carter

On May 18, 2022, God saw that you had fought a good fight, you had finished your life course. Your eyes closed and you were at rest.

Mr. Curtis James Carter, Sr. was born on May 8, 1956, in Dawson, GA, to the late Mr. James Carter and Mrs. Tiny Maude Carter. In 1965, they moved to Albany, GA. He was educated in the Dougherty County School System. He is a graduate of Monroe High School class of 1974 and Albany State College (University) class of 1978.

At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal savior in 1987. He worked in ministry at Cray Chapel CME on the steward board, trustee board, superintendent finance board, Sunday school teacher, 2019 President of the Male Choir.
Mr. Carter worked as an insurance agent from 1988 to 1990 and a truck driver from 1990 until he retired in 2019.
On January 5, 1992, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Barbara Parks for 30 years.

Clarke, Indianapolis, IN, and Johnnie (Lonzie) James, Albany, GA; one brother, McArthur Helm, Raford, FL; one aunt, Mrs. Alice White, Dawson, GA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Betty Williams, Albany, GA; five brothers-in-law, Anthony (Jackie), Daniel, Maurice (Shawanna), David (Unice), Lonzie (Johnnie), Albany, GA; five grandchildren, Taneycha (Dechaun) Glen, Burnie, MD, Gary, Cameron, Sanaa, Albany, GA, and Jessica, Leary, GA; one great- grandson, Dechari Glen, Burnie, MD; a devoted and loving mother- in-law, Mrs. Ruthie Mae Tucker, Albany, GA; his dear friend and co -worker, Mr. James McKinny; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
