Mr. Fred Johnson was born February 15, 1939, in Harlem, New York, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Ephrain Johnson.
He attended Fred Cooper Union High School, Harlem, New York, and was employed and retired after 25 years of service as property manager with William C. Smith and Company of Washington, DC.
He was united in holy matrimony to the late Mrs. Louise Blackshear.
He was an enlisted Marine serving in the Vietnam war, and received the Combat Action Ribbon award, Vietnam Service Medal award, Rifle Sharp Shooter Badge, and many other awards for his diligent services. He was also a member of the Prudence Lodge No. 27 Masonic Temple.
He dismissed this life on April 17, 2020.
Fred Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Louise Blackshear; a son, Mr. Anthony Johnson; and a brother, Mr. Joseph A. Roberts.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Jeffrey Johnson, Freddie Johnson, Kimberley Smith Hensley, and Vickie Anderson; his sisters, Carol J. Ortiz, Lauris L. Johnson, and Sylvia J. Townsend; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a very dear friend, Denise Gross, all of whom added much joy to his life.
