Hattie Pearl Alls-Cain was born to James and Pearl Alls in Albany, Georgia on December 16, 1926. She attended the public schools of Albany, and earned an Elementary School Teaching Degree from Georgia Normal College, presently known as Albany State University. Hattie Pearl was married to Leroy Adam Cain, a native of Waterbury, South Carolina; and was blessed with a lovely and devoted daughter, Osceola Inez, and a son, Leroy Cain, Jr.
Hattie Pearl was a faithful and active member of Arcadia Baptist Church throughout her youth and young adulthood where she sang in the Senior Choir. She later joined her husband Leroy and served faithfully in Bethel AME Church.
Hattie Pearl retired from the Dougherty County School System where she served diligently as a beloved First Grade Teacher.
Hattie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Alls; her beloved husband, Leroy Adam Cain; her beloved brother, Frank M. Postell, and a beloved nephew, Dr. Fred James Postell.
Hattie leaves to cherish her memory, her caring and dedicated daughter, Osceola; her son, Leroy, Jr.; three nephews, Tommie, Frank Jr. and Walter Postell; one niece, Ladalia Postell. In addition to a host of loving relatives and many life-long friends who will always cherish her memory.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to all who have expressed and demonstrated love and support in our time of bereavement.
