James Willie Williams, Sr. was born July 4, 1930, to the late Clem and Pearlie (Butler) Williams in Albany, Georgia.
He accepted Christ later in life and was baptized at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Jake Edwards, Jr.
He received his education in the Dougherty County School System and later became an employee of Flint Beverage in Albany, Georgia, where he was a loyal, dedicated, and faithful employee for over 40 years, retiring in 1992.
He was united in holy matrimony on October 23, 1948, to the late Eva Jean (Holiday) Williams. To this union, 13 children were the fruits of their labor.
On Monday, November 14, 2022, the Lord saw fit to call him home to depart this earthly life at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mattie (George) Washington and Catherine (Ben) Thomas; and two children, James (Tommy) Williams and Sharon Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Robert Williams, Fred L. Williams, Laura (Jesse) Cheeks, Mary H. Williams, Eddie B. (Marguere) Williams, Annette (late Norman) Taylor, Calvin (Erin) Williams, Curtis (Sharon) Williams, Gwendolyn (Henry) Tinch, Shurita (Dwayne) Marlin, Shunita (Derek) Pace; a brother-in-law, Felix Holiday; a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many loving friends and extended family members who loved and cherished him dearly.
