Jenkin Holt Jr. was born December 18, 1953, in Albany, Georgia, to the late Geneva and Jenkin Holt, Sr. After the death of his mother, Jenkin, along with his two brothers, relocated to Zephyrhills, FL, where he and his brothers were raised by his aunt, Mary Lee Holt (Mamie).
After graduating from Zephyrhills High School, Jenkin began his military career and joined the NAVY, where he served his country for over three years.
Soon after returning to his hometown, he met his wife, Miriam Young-Holt. Jenkin and Miriam birthed one son, Marcus Termaine Young, who preceded Jenkin in death. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Lilton Lee Holt and Bobby Jones Holt.
In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, playing tennis, and watching Westerns. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Jenkin leaves his precious memories to be cherished by his devoted and loving wife, Miriam Young-Holt of Albany, GA; two stepdaughters, Deonna Warren and Chelsea Young, both of Tampa, FL; one sister, Janet Williams (Alexander) of Miami Gardens, FL; a mother-in-law, Lucille Young of Midville, GA; four sisters-in-law, Emma Holt of Albany, GA, Thelma Taylor (Tommy, Sr.) of Lauderhill Lakes, FL, Carol Young of Albany, GA, and Jean Evans of Midville, GA, four brothers-in-law, Inward Young, Jr of Hepzibah, GA, Roy Mood (Sherry) of Augusta, GA, Willie Moody, Sr. of Millen, GA, and Reginald Young, Sr. of Midville, GA; one godson, Terrance G. Smith, Jr, of Hepzibah, GA, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
