Joann Proctor

Joann Proctor was born July 30, 1961, in Albany, GA, to the late Cornelia Johnson and Grady Proctor. She was educated at Monroe Comprehensive High School and obtained her nursing degree from Albany Technical College. She was an Army veteran and was later employed at DCI of Albany for 30-plus years before retiring. She loved playing games and reading books. She loved her family and would brighten a room with her enormous smile.

Early Thursday morning on June 27, 2024, the angels called her to eternal glory. Her mother, Cornelia Johnson, and grandmother, Ruby Goodson, preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her legacy and precious memories, one loving son, Dondre Harris, Albany, GA; three sisters, Ruby Humphrey, Carrie Clifton, and Lisa Wimberly, Albany, GA; two uncles, Eddie Hodges, and Johnny Hodges, Albany, GA; one aunt, Delois Hodges, Albany, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
