Johnny Lee Cutts was born on November 9, 1949, in Lee County, Georgia, to Mr. Charlie Cutts, Sr. and Mrs. Palace Green Cutts. Johnny loved being part of a large family. Johnny received his education in the public schools of Lee County, GA. Immediately following, he enlisted in the Army and served his nation with pride. Upon leaving the military, he was employed at Lilliston, Procter & Gamble, and the Marine Corps Logistics Base among others.
In addition to being a hard worker, Johnny was also a man of faith. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Able Baptist Church in Desoto, Georgia. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Gloria Dean Carter Cutts in August 1976. Johnny was loved by all. He never met a stranger. He never missed an opportunity to greet someone with a smile, a hug, or a handshake. His generous spirit touched so many.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents - Charlie Cutts, Sr. and Palace Green Cutts; 4 sisters - Isabella Wright, Ruby Mack, Clara Sneed, Katie Scott; and 2 brothers - Charlie Cutts, Jr. and Willie Green Cutts.
Johnny is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria Cutts of Albany, GA; 2 daughters - Allison Jones (Ernest) of Albany, GA, Erika LeSeane (Anton) of Stone Mountain, GA; 4 doting grandchildren - Ryan, Micah, Raegan, and Miles, who brought him tremendous joy; 5 sisters - Mary Lee French and Vera Rivers of Smithville, GA, Rosie Godbee (Willie) of Miami, FL, Elizabeth Cutts of Albany, GA, Evelyn Iverson (Rev. Jerry) of Montgomery, AL; 3 brothers - Douglas Cutts, Clifford Cutts, and Calvin Cutts of Smithville, GA; 1 aunt - Carrie Lou Jones; 4 sisters-in-law - Addie B. Cutts and Martha Cutts of Desoto, GA, Virginia Bryant (Alonzo) of Americus, GA, and Willie Mae Martin (Marion) of Atlanta, GA; 3 brothers-in-law – Solomon Mack, Jr. of Boynton Beach, FL, Clifford Carter and Horace Carter of Americus, GA; and a host of other relatives, neighbors, and friends.
