Johnny W. (Duck) Dixon, Sr.

Johnny William Dixon, Sr. (Duck) was born in Parrott, GA, Terrell County on August 11, 1937. He was born to Luella Dixon and Henry Dixon who preceded him in death.

Johnny William Dixon, Sr. later moved to Albany, GA, where he worked hard for many years. He worked at Lykes for over 20 years and the Dougherty County School System where he later retired from in December of 1998. He also had a great love for fishing.

Johnny William Dixon, Sr. (Duck) departed his life on October 28, 2023. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Robbie Dixon.

He leaves behind one (1) brother: Albert Dixon. He also leaves behind nine (9) children: Dennis Dixon, Calvin Dixon Johnny Dixon Jr., Monericka Dixon, Derrick Linkhorn (Drucilla Linkhorn), Michael Linkhorn, Leonard Linkhorn, Theresa Linkhorn. A host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Johnny William Dixon Sr. will be truly missed. Heaven absolutely has gained a general in the Army of the Lord.
