Kawaskee "KJ" Nicole Brown II was born on August 3, 2001, in Albany, GA. He was the firstborn of Tameka Brown and Kawaskee Brown.
KJ attended Lincoln Elementary Magnet School, Robert Cross Middle, and Sherwood Christian Academy, where he graduated in 2020. While in high school he was a member of the basketball team. He was a very talented ball player and played on several youth teams in the Albany area. All who knew KJ knew he enjoyed playing ball but his love and passion were videography/ photography, going on his nature walks, watching movies, and spending time with his family. KJ exemplified creativity, humility, purity, gentleness, and kindness. He began his internship with Grace Life Marketing doing what he loved creating, editing and filming.
KJ cultivated his relationship with God on a daily basis. He had begun to strengthen his faith in God and found his spiritual family at Freedom Church of Albany. To know KJ was to love him .... a true angel on Earth.
KJ was called home by the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2023, while enjoying one of his favorite pastimes.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Johnson, and his uncle, Octavius Barnes.
He leaves to honor and celebrate his life: his parents, Tameka Brown and Kawaskee Brown (Charmaine); his sisters, Jada Brown and Jordyn Brown of Albany, GA, and his stepbrother, Jayden Huntley of Atlanta, GA; his great-grandmother, Catherine Hicks; his grandmothers, Cynthia Wallace and Linda Thomas of Albany, GA; his aunts, Felicia Flores of Leesburg, GA, Lakesha Gibson and Cathy Johnson of Albany GA, and Kawambee Dorsey (Corey) of Leesburg, GA; his uncle, Lewis Brown of Albany, GA; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
