Mrs. Linda Merritt of Simpsonville, SC, was born on November 4, 1958, in Albany, GA. She attended Monroe Comprehensive High School. She worked at Byne Child Development Center as a childcare worker. At the age of 40 years old, she began the journey of complications with her lungs, and sarcoidosis was the enemy until now. It was a long struggle. There were times when she fought hard and bounced back. Now the journey is over, and may she rest in peace.
She was predeceased by her mother, Jeanette Lawrence; her stepfather, Tess Lawrence; and her sister, Pamela Wilson.
She is survived by her spouse, Marvin Merritt, Sr. (Albany, GA); her children, Tabitha Williams (Simpsonville, SC), and Marvin Merritt, Jr. (Albany, GA); three grandchildren, Yamaya Williams (Simpsonville, SC), Marcel Merritt, (Albany, GA), and Amberly Merritt (Albany, GA); her father, Willie C.
