A Time to be Born: Luetisha Hall Idlett was born March 14, 1962, in Miami-Dade County, Florida, to Flozell Martin and Geneva Smith Martin. It was at the age of two months that her parents relocated their family to Albany, Georgia.
A Time to Learn: Mrs. Idlett was educated in the Dougherty County School System.
A Time to Plant: Mrs. Idlett gave her life to God at an early age at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.
A Time to Build: Mrs. Idlett obtained a nursing license and was employed by three different nursing homes. She was a devoted nurse that gave unselfishly of herself to her residents, friends, and family. She was her mother’s child so much that we often referred to her lovingly as “Geneva Jr.” or “Geneva Number Two.”
A Time to Die: Mrs. Idlett departed this life on August 27, 2021, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Georgia. God called her home to rest. She was preceded in death by her parents, Flozell Martin and Geneva Smith Martin; her husband, Johnny Lee Idlett; her siblings, Rose Martin Eafford, Roy Gene Martin, Jay Cecil Martin, and Geraldine Norris; her uncle, Johnny Martin; and her aunt, Mary Martin.
A Time of Peace: A caring devoted mother, she leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Cartrice (Eric) Mullins, Lakeysha (Samuel) Edwards, Shawan Clay, and Keshauntrice (Tacovian) Johnson; a son, Bobby Hall; a best friend and sister, Patricia (Frank) Martin; and two loving brothers, Jimmy Martin and Floyd (Gloria) Martin; a cousin, Evelyn Martin; and 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews that all had a special relationship with her. She loved you all like her own.
