Marion Jordan Obituary

A Time to be Born: Mother Marion Loud Heath Jordan was born on January 11, 1946, to the late Charlie Lee Loud and Martha Green Dixon in Dawson, Georgia. 
 

A Time to Plant: The vines of her life were rooted in the red clay of Terrell County, Georgia, where she grew up and begin her Christian journey. 
 

A Time to Love: In her later years, she met and married Deacon Pate Jordan.
 

A Time to Educate: Her education was received in the public schools of Terrell County, Georgia. She was a graduate of the Carver High School Class of 1964. 
 

A Time to Embrace: The Holy Spirit guided her into Christian service and fellowship serving with New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as the Mother of the Church from the church's inception until her death. 
 

A Time to Laugh: She enjoyed providing meals for families, talking with family and friends, dancing with her children, and listening to gospel music. She loved to hear a good devotional service with hymn and prayer. 
 

A Time to Mourn: The sorrow of life did not elude her for the death of her mother, father, and two brothers brought sadness to her household. 
 

A Time to Die: The final call of God to welcome His angel home was received by her on Friday, July 10, 2020, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. 
 

A Time of Peace: The legacy of her life will be cherished by her husband, Pate Jordan, and her children: Deacon James (Joe Ellen) Heath of Albany, GA, Angelyn (Deacon Garnett) Lincey of Leesburg, GA, Rev. Tywon (Wanda) Heath of Houston, TX, Beverly (King) Moore of Sasser, GA, Wende Lewis of Dawson, GA, and Deacon Vince Jordan of Albany, GA; twenty grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie (James) Kirkman of Florence, AL, Valarie (Barry) Davis of Dawson, GA; three brothers, Bobby (Linda) Greene of Waycross, GA, Jimmy Greene of Dawson, GA and Willie (Cindy) Sherman of Newport News, VA; one uncle, Rev. Lawrence (Mary) Green and one aunt, Thelma Green; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special friend, Ms. Bernice Brown and two god-daughters, Rhonda and Rontra Brown.
