Michael Jermane Peterson

Mr. Michael Jermane Peterson was born May 24, 1972, to the late Mr. Wallace Peterson, Sr., and Marian Hayes Peterson in Albany, GA. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee and Elizabeth Gideon Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Bertha Lee Armstrong Hayes preceded him in death.       He was educated in the public schools of Dougherty County and graduated from Dougherty High School in 1991.  He received a CDL License and Forklift Certification from Albany Technical College.  He was employed at the Georgia Pacific Lumber Plant as a forklift driver. He joined the Arcadia Missionary Baptist Church as a young child under the pastorage of Rev. E.N. Dixon, where he served in the Mazarene Payton Choir, the Youth Department, and the Arcadia Men’s Choir.

He was married to Shonda Peterson for nine years and celebrated their anniversary on November 29, 2024. He is survived by his loving mother, Mrs. Marian H. Peterson; five children:  Vannazquela (Justin) White,  La’Ashley Peterson, Blake Peterson, Jace Molden, and Sabrina Curry;  five siblings:  Alisha Hayes,  Windell (Ethel) Jackson, Kenneth Peterson, all of Albany, GA, Caltekee (William) Craig of Powder Springs, GA, Wallace Peterson, Jr. of Decatur, GA, and Michael Floyd of Albany, GA; three grandchildren:  Bryce White, Nina White, and Breyden Perry, all of Albany, GA; three aunts:  Willie M. Douglas of Detroit, MI, Fleta Henderson, and Rosa Mitchell, both of Albany, GA; one great uncle, J.D. Armstrong of Albany, GA, and Amanda, Harvey, and Morgan Clark all of Buford, GA; two brothers-in-law:  Jay (Laquanda) Brown, Jr. of Tifton, GA, Terrance (Melissa) Brown of Crosland, GA: two sisters-in-law: Teanna Brown and Fawn Brown, both of Crosland, GA: and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was a member of the Xtreme Ryders Motorcycle Club of Albany, GA, where he participated in many community service events.  Michael believed in Matthew 6:25-34 and trusted in the lord to provide for him.
