A Time to Be Born:

Odessa “Sista” Trent was born on September 30, 1947, in Albany, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Perk Williams.

A Time to Plant:

Odessa was educated in the Dougherty County School System and graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 1965. She later married the love of her life, Roger Trent, and together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with four children.

A Time to Serve:

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Odessa dedicated her life to her family and community. She served faithfully in the local school system as a substitute teacher, attended countless school board meetings, and volunteered many hours at sporting events. Known throughout Albany and surrounding areas, she was a constant and enthusiastic supporter of local athletic teams.

A Time to Reflect:

Odessa was a radiant woman whose presence lit up every room she entered. She carried herself with elegance and confidence—stylish, fashionable, and unapologetically herself. Though she never held a teaching certificate, she was a teacher of life—always sharing wisdom, offering words of encouragement, and guiding others with grace and compassion.

She lived life joyfully, with a song in her heart and a dance in her step—always bringing laughter, light, and love wherever she went.

A Time to Pluck:

On October 1, 2025, in Albany, Georgia, Odessa “Sista” Trent peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home. She was predeceased by her parents, and her son, Ricardo Trent.

A Time to Cherish:

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Roger Trent, Sr.; her loving children, Roger Trent, Jr., Tiffany Trent Bailey, and Trenise Trent; her beloved grandchildren, Levantes Lewis, Treyvon Trent, Leyland Trent, Caitlyn Bailey, Connor Bailey, and Chloe Bailey; along with other cherished relatives and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
