Oliver (Ollie) Wendell Jones, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 29, 2021, in Albany, Georgia. He was born on June 17, 1965. Ollie was educated in the school system of Dougherty County. He was a great high school athlete and an avid sports fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Jimmie L. Jones, Sr., and Mary Ann Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Patricia Jones; four sons, Alexander Johnson, Oliver Wendell Jones, Jr., Jockcolian Jones, Albany, GA; Quantravious Hudson, Atlanta, GA; brothers, Jimmie L. (Mary) Jones, Jonesboro, GA; Emerson C. Jones, East Point, GA; Alonzo B. (Joyce) Jones, Ellenwood, GA; sisters, Brenda S. Cameron and Jamersina E. Jones, Albany, GA; sisters-in-law, Diane Hunter, Rubye Hunter, Atlanta, GA, Mary Hunter Whyte, Virginia Beach, VA; brother-in-law, Calvin Hunter, Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
