Richard Leon Burnette, Jr., son of Richard L. Burnette, Sr. and the late Janet M. Peterson Burnette, was born September 24, 1969.
During his formative years, he was educated in the Dougherty County School System. He was a proud Westover High School Patriot.
Affectionately known as “The Pizza Man”, he has worked with our local pizza restaurants in Albany. Walmart Store #5797 was his newest work family, and there he was called “The Friendly Cart Assistant” that will help anybody.
Richard was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. J. Wesley Lowe at an early age.
On July 26, 2020, God called Richard home to take his eternal rest. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Richard leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his fiancée, Alisea Keaton; father, Richard L. Burnette, Sr.; sisters, Sundra Burnette Jenkins (Kenneth), Tangie Burnette (Kenneth), Assheenita King, Africa Tinsley, all of Albany and Charlotte Burnette of Houston, Texas; brothers, Frederick Peterson, Timothy Burnette, Sr. (Breeka) and Brian Burnette (Jennifer), all of Albany; Don and Nicholas Richardson, whom he helped raise; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
