Rommal Wendall Keaton was born March 27, 1972, in Mitchell County, Georgia, to Jimmie Keaton and the late Catherine Lawton Keaton.
They later moved to Albany, Georgia. He attended school in the Dougherty County School System at Oak Tree, being a gifted child. He graduated with honors from the gifted school at Bainbridge High School.
He moved to Leesburg, Georgia, where he shared an apartment with a friend whom he worked with at T & L Industries until his health failed.
Growing up, Rommal was an active child who loved to play basketball and also watch it on tv. He enjoyed riding Aunt Joyce’s back and playing video games. He loved westerns, traveling and dancing.
On February 22, 2024, the master called him to rest and he transitioned from labor to reward. He was preceded in death by a niece, Lejuawlard Lunsford; grandparents, Eafrom and Lillian Keaton; grandmother, Mattie Lawton; and grandfather, Walter Bailey.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories and legacy: a father, Jimmie Keaton, Albany, GA; two sisters, Kaprece Stapleton and Waujel Keaton, Albany, GA; a loving adopted mother, Loualis Harris; two adopted sisters, Mylia Harris and Nakayla Harris, Albany, GA; a godmother, Val Williams; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
