Saul Washington, Jr.

Saul Washington, Jr., beloved son of Saul Washington, Sr. and Lorene Stephens Washington, was born in Albany on June 7, 1950.

Saul received his formal education in the public schools of Albany, GA. Upon completion of high school, Saul was drafted into the United States Army where he received several medals (National Defense Service, Army Commendation, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharp Shooter M-16, and 20s Bars). Later he was awarded the Purple Heart which is “The Badge of Military Merit.”

On Wednesday, July 29, 2020, Saul’s earthly journey ended, and he transitioned to eternal rest. In addition to his mother and father, Saul was predeceased by siblings, Brenda Washington, David Washington, James Washington and Elvin Washington.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by daughters, Faye Roberts (Tracy, Sr.) and Chekietha Tyson (Alfonzo, Sr.), Albany, GA; son, Saul Washington III, Florida; only surviving sibling, Ronald Washington, Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
