Susie Loretta Williams Davis was born in Albany, Dougherty County, Georgia, on September 18, 1932, to the late Jerome Williams and Martha Taylor Flood.
Susie attended school in Dougherty County, Georgia. She joined Shiloh Baptist Church and was a part of the Echoes Choir, Mission, and Deaconess Ministry. She was also a part of the Artesian City Chapter of Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows.
She was married to the late Rev. William H. Davis on May 28, 1955, and to that union, two daughters were born.
She retired from JCPenney’s in Albany, Georgia.
She transitioned on Wednesday, July 14th at Atrium Health Navicent Hospital in Macon, Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Rosalind Davis-Holloway of Baltimore, Maryland, Patricia Davis-Dunlap of Albany, Georgia, Loretta Davis-Allen of Brookhaven, Georgia, and Linda Davis-Henley (Nathaniel) of Macon, Georgia; seven granddaughters, Erica and Latoya Coates of Hatfield, Pennsylvania, Cheremie, Chelcie, Chenae, and Charlene Dunlap, all of Albany, Georgia, and Angelia Henley of Macon, Georgia. She also leaves five great-grandchildren and several nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
