Thelma Fowler, the daughter of the late Mr Grissel Jay Fowler and the late Mrs Leola Smith, was born in Sylvester, GA on April 26, 1929 Early In life she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and United with the St. James Baptist Church then later moved her membership to Greater Second Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and loyal friend to many. She will be remembered for her gentle smile and compassionate spirit. Thelma recognized that work was honorable as she was employed with Albany State University as a Domestic Engineer for 24 years.
She was a Laborer Hauler business owner and she was also a foster parent for many years.
Her hobbles were selling produce to local farmers markets and to the people of her community,
On Wednesday, March 11, 2020 she made a peaceful transition from her earthly life to her eternal home.
She leaves to cherish fond memories a devoted and loving daughter, Diane (Melvin) WIiiiams; two sisters, Georgia Mae Holloway and Juanita James of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her grandchildren, Sharon (Rodriquez) Sibley, Shareca Williams and Shanika Owens of Albany, GA, India Dismukes and Nicole (Carlos) Johnson of Raleigh, NC, Charlene (Doug) Bush of Leesburg, GA, Her great grandchildren; Reginald Livingston, Trevlous Means, Tracey Means, Dranlra (Jay) Merritt ofRalelgh, NC, Jelen Owens, Jeramie Stokes, Dylan Wllllams, of Albany GA., Jamlel Russell of Melbourne, FL , Jahklra Russell of Atlanta,GA, Jaqueze WIiiis, Jawaskl Russell of Clarkesville, Tennesee, Her great great grand children Mackenzie Livingston, Nyah Livingston, and Levi Merritt of Raleigh, NC, Jaquez, Jr and LaMya Willis of Clarkesville, TN, Josiah Woods, ZeNovlo Stuberfleld of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
