On January 16, 2022, God saw that you had fought a good fight; you had finished your life course. Your eyes closed, and you were at rest.
Tiny Maude was born on January 5, 1933, to the late Oliver and Ceola Lumpkin of Dawson, GA. At an early age, she joined Rose Hill Baptist Church in Dawson, GA, and served on the Usher Board.
In 1965, she moved to Albany, GA; and in 1970, she united with the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Wooden. Tiny Maude faithfully served on the usher board for many years.
On September 13, 1957, she was united in marriage to the late James Carter, and to this union one son, Curtis James Carter was born. Tiny Maude retired from Coats and Clark in 1995.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Curtis (Barbara) Carter, Leesburg, GA; Sally B. Clarke, Indianapolis, IN; Johnnie (Lonzie) James, Albany, GA, and McArthur Helm, Rayford, FL; one sister, Alice White, Dawson, GA; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Christopher, Shaun, Curtis, Jr., Tasha, Bernard and Shansla (Pete); nine great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Little Pearl Lumpkin of Dawson, GA, and Little Amy Lumpkin of Albany, GA; and a beloved friend, Ms. Betty Brown of Albany, GA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
