William J. “Headlight” Morman was born on February 12, 1963, to the late Catherine Morman and Ike Morman. He peacefully departed this life on February 11, 2026, just one day shy of his 63rd birthday.
William received his education through the Dougherty County School System and was a proud and dedicated employee of the City of Albany, where he faithfully served for 46 years. During his many years of service, he built lasting friendships and created countless cherished memories. His strong work ethic and warm personality left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
William had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel deeply loved. His presence brought warmth to every conversation and strength to every heart he touched. To know him was truly to love him. His love for his family was one of his greatest gifts—steady, unwavering, and unconditional—a love that will forever be cherished.
He enjoyed going to yard sales, cutting grass, and doing whatever he could to provide for his family. He was the true definition of a hustler—always striving, always working, always finding a way. He lived his life with kindness, compassion, and resilience, constantly lifting others up even while facing his own challenges. His determination and selflessness were an inspiration to all who knew him.
William valued family, faith, and togetherness above all else. His smile and caring spirit were a constant source of comfort and joy. He had a heart of gold and never hesitated to lend a helping hand or share words of encouragement.
He was united in holy matrimony to his loving and devoted wife, Sharon Morman, for 33 beautiful years. Together, they built a life centered on love, commitment, and family. William was a proud father who loved his children dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Morman and Ike Morman; his beloved daughter, Porsha Sanders; and his siblings, Mable Jenkins, Carrie Lee Morman, Johnny Will Morman, Robert Lee Morman, and Ike Morman Jr.
He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life his devoted wife, Sharon Morman; his children, Chiquita Gulley, Damion Taylor, Latasha Morman, Derrick Sutton, Santana Morman, Sabrina Price (Charahtis), Joseph Frazier, and Willie Malone; 20 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves behind his siblings: James Sherman (Sandra), Minnie Mitchell (Arus), Gloria Harris, Gail Morman, Lucille Wooden of St. Petersburg, Deloise Williams of California, Mary Price, Jimmy Lee Morman, and Essie Morman; a special niece Tomeka Mitchell, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the love shared and the legacy he leaves behind. William’s life was a testament to dedication, perseverance, and unconditional love. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him.
