It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Willie Bell Goseer, affectionately known to many as "Beep." Mrs. Goseer peacefully departed this life on June 8, 2024. Born on March 6, 1929, in Albany, Georgia, she was a cherished member of her community and a loving matriarch to her family.
Mrs. Goseer was a proud graduate of Monroe Comprehensive High School. She built a dedicated career at Coates and Clark, where she worked for 19 years before retiring in 1987. Following her retirement, she found joy in traveling, often visiting her daughters, Anne and Mel, and her son, Steve, in Atlanta.
A woman of steadfast faith, Mrs. Goseer was a devout member of Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She joined under the ministry of the late Reverend J. H. Reynolds. She served her church with unwavering commitment, especially through her work on the Senior Usher Board, where she began serving in 1963. Her kindness and dedication were felt by many. She joined Eastern Star Martha Chapter #26 in 1984 and was part of the Queen of the South.
Mrs. Goseer was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen "Snow" Goseer, Sr., and her sons, Carlton and Thomas. Her legacy is lovingly carried forward by her surviving children: Irma Williams Coley, Anne Williams-Aplin, Melrobin Goseer Cothran, Willie James Williams, and Steve Goseer. She also leaves behind three cherished bonus children: Kenneth Goseer (Antonia), Rosalyn Goseer, and Alice Goseer-Jenkins.
Her love for baking, her zest for life, and her devotion to her family, friends, and church were the hallmarks of her remarkable life. Mrs. Goseer leaves to cherish her memory a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, and dear friends. She touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the light she brought into the lives of those who knew her.
